What Freedom is Not

We mistake noise for knowledge. More news, more debates, more side-taking. But beneath it all, the mind circles the same tracks.

This loop is not progress. It is captivity dressed in conviction.
We replay thoughts until they feel permanent. Thoughts such as: "They’ll never change" or "This is wrong".
Each repetition hardens belief. Each belief narrows the world.

Why do we cling to loops? Because certainty feels safer than openness. The brain rewards us with a chemical spark every time we defend what we “know.” The high is quick, but the cost is freedom.

The way out begins with a pause. Catch the thought before it runs. Name it: worrying, defending, remembering. That pause is the oxygen of clarity.

Curiosity is the cure.

Not the shallow kind, but the kind that asks: “What else might be true” or “What am I not seeing”?

Curiosity re-opens the doors judgment slammed shut. It does not erase discomfort. It turns discomfort into possibility.

Freedom is not found in proving you are right. It is found in remembering you are more than your thoughts.

Epilogue (from "The Myth of Beliefs"):

The more we loop, the less we live.”
